Class timetables and member churn
A gym or studio runs on two clocks: the timetable and the membership cycle. The timetable is visible — classes, capacities, who is teaching. Members book their own spot, the class caps itself, and the waitlist fills the gap when somebody drops out an hour before.
The membership cycle is the one that quietly decides the year. A member who attended twice a week in January and once a fortnight by March has usually decided to leave before they say so. Attendance and retention sit in the same place as the timetable, so the drop-off is visible while there is still time to do something about it.
Waivers are the unglamorous part. A new member signing up for a class should complete a par-Q and waiver as part of joining, not as a form somebody remembers to hand over at the door. Shared as a link, completed on a phone, filed against the member.
